Architect

Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will research, program, plan, design and administer building projects for clients, utilizing knowledge of architectural design, construction detailing, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials and systems. You will produce conceptual plans, renderings, and documents, and plan and program the layout of projects while coordinating and integrating engineering elements into a unified design for client review and approval. The Architect will also use computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project designs and plans.

 

• Conduct research and planning for building projects, applying knowledge of architectural design, construction detailing, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials and systems.
• Produce conceptual plans, renderings, and documents.
• Plan and program the layout of project(s); coordinate and integrate engineering elements into a unified design for client review and approval.
• Utilize computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project designs and plans.
• Produce construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Direct, supervise, and check activities of workers engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents for the Conceptual Design Phase, Schematic Design Phase, and/or the Detailed Design Phase of a project.
• Interface with the Director of Architecture and project managers.
• Work in tandem with highly collaborative multi-discipline design teams.
• Assist in research and coordination of materials and products for project specifications.

Job Requirement

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years of architectural experience.
• Strong understanding and knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, building construction, building systems, and site requirements.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office suite is required.
• Ability to provide elegant and efficient design solutions.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to work under indirect supervision.
• Effective interpersonal skills and collaborative management style to include teamwork and team building ability.
